Qualifying Tournament Awards

The following awards will be distributed at each of the Illinois Qualifying tournaments:


Award	Award Criteria
Champion's Award	Based on strong performance BALANCED across all three areas AND Robot Game score is in top 40% of the highest single scores at the event, Team must complete all 3 parts of the Project Team must adhere to all Core Values
Robot Design Award	Mechanical Design, Programming and Strategy & Innovation are weighted equally in determining the award winner.
Project Award	Research, Innovative Solution and Presentation are weighted equally in determining the award winner. Teams must complete all 3 parts of the project and any season-specific requirements.
Core Values Award	Inspiration, Teamwork and Gracious Professionalism are weighted equally in determining the award winner.
Judges' Award	Allows the judges the freedom to recognize remarkable teams that stand out for reasons other than the Core Award categories.
Robot Performance Award	This award recognizes the team with the highest table score from all table runs.
Rookie Team Award	This award recognizes the strongest performance of a rookie team based upon the Champion’s Award criteria.
